Job Description:
The NHS is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialty Doctor to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in Manchester. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in the management of complex cases, offering expert psychiatric advice and support.
- Contribute to service development and innovation, ensuring that the care provided meets the highest standards.
- Engage in clinical supervision, teaching, and training of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Essential Requirements:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK.
- Completion of at least four years of postgraduate training (two of which must be in a relevant specialty).
- Experience in psychiatry, with a particular focus on child and adolescent mental health.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to continuing professional development and staying abreast of the latest clinical guidelines and research.
Desirable Attributes:
- Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working in a CAMHS setting.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation in clinical practice.
