Festive attractions in the UK

Throughout December, there are numerous festive events and attractions across the UK. Here’s a list of festive attractions which you may wish to visit this Christmas.


London’s Winter Wonderland

Open for 6 weeks from mid-November to the beginning of January. Offers a variety of rides, attractions, activities, entertainment, food and drink. Entrance ticket prices start from £5.


Lapland UK

A memorable experience, with fake snow, log cabins and real huskies. Children get to meet Santa Clause.


Alton Towers Santa’s Sleepover

A Christmassy escape with specially selected rides ideal for families, and the hugely popular ‘Lightopia Seasonal Wonderland’ with a magical light and lantern trail. Also a festive evening meal and meeting Santa.


Blenheim Palace’s Kingdom of the Snow Queen

Explore the palace’s rooms with each one transformed and filled with surprises, discover the glistening Land of Snowflakes filled with a silvery frost-covered forest and venture into the wintry Kingdom of Ice.


Staffordshire’s Polar Express

The much-loved heritage railway is said to be one of the best places for believers to experience a magical Christmas.


Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland

Visit here for the ultimate winter experience where you can enjoy many festive favourites such as ice rinks, funfair attractions, ice bar and food and drink.


Hampshire’s Paulton’s Park

Visit here over the Christmas period and discover the new land Tornado Springs and magical illuminations. See Peppa pig and George pig in their seasonal outfits, Christmas characters, a Christmas show featuring Santa and selected rides and attractions (including Peppa Pig world).


Wensleydale Polar Express (North Yorkshire)

Just like in the movie ‘The Polar Express’, be picked up at Leeming Bar Station and take a trip to the North Pole. Opportunity to meet the characters from the film and Father Christmas.


Enchanted Journey Of Light (Norfolk)

Travel past penguins, polar bears and giant teddy bears, see how the elves have loaded Santa’s sleigh and then past the busy elves working in the factory using the wrapping machine. Opportunity to meet fantasy land characters including the snowman family.


Frankfurt Christmas Market (Birmingham)

Watch Birmingham come alive during the festive period with this Christmas market. With over 80 stalls, there is something for everyone.


Drusillas Park (East Sussex)

Experience the glistening magic of Christmas at Drusilla’s. Meet Santa in his cosy cottage, get nose-to-nose with the cuddly huskies in the ice cave, and take a stroll through the twinkling decorations. Don’t forget to spot the 24ft Christmas tree.


Christmas at The Royal Albert Hall

Especially magical to visit at Christmas, with the Hall hosting a festive series of Christmas events. These include the classic singalong of carols, My Christmas Orchestral Adventure for the children, and the screening of the Christmas classic ‘Home Alone’.
